Write to Publish Conference
My responsibilities:
- I created a budget and program, sought out sponsors and vendors, and pitched speakers.
- I coordinated the set up and take down of the event space and trained volunteers.
- I managed a team of 5 students
Outcomes:
- We had 35 speakers representing a wide range of publishers from the Big 5 to college presses and independent publishers.
- We had speakers from all reading groups (Children, Middle Grade, Young Adult, and Adult).
- We had speaker from a wide range of genres (fiction, nonfiction, poetry, and comics).
- Over 80 people attended the conference
